Brentford concern Rico Henry could be out for rest of season
Brentford defender Rico Henry could be out of action for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury against Newcastle.
The 26-year-old left-back will require surgery after limping out of the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle on Saturday.
Henry fell awkwardly after battling for possession with Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier shortly before half-time.
“Rico will require surgery in the next week or so and, unfortunately, a prolonged period of recovery,” Bees medical chief Neil Greig told the club’s official website.
“While this is disappointing, Rico has been through a similar experience in the past and is already focused on using this as an opportunity to become fitter and stronger than before.
"We will support him fully throughout this process.”
