Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham commits to Real Madrid Until 2029 - report

Jude Bellingham for Dortmund April 2023

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Jude Bellingham has put pen to paper on a new contract with Spanish football giants Real Madrid until 2029.

Real Madrid have successfully secured a long-awaited agreement with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, as renowned transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed.

The talented 19-year-old midfielder will reportedly sign a contract with the La Liga giants, keeping him at the club until 2029. Bellingham's salary will progressively increase each season, with additional bonuses based on individual and team performances.

Real Madrid's pursuit of Bellingham has been well-documented, and negotiations over personal terms concluded recently. Moreover, a significant breakthrough has been achieved, as representatives from Los Blancos and Dortmund met earlier this week in Germany to finalize a crucial agreement in principle.
The deal, valued at €100 million in fixed fees, includes various add-ons and bonuses tied to the player's performance. However, Real Madrid has refrained from making an official announcement at this time due to Dortmund's ongoing campaign in the Bundesliga. Currently, Dortmund holds a two-point lead over Bayern Munich at the top of the table, making it a critical juncture for the Black and Yellow's pursuit of the league title.
Out of respect for Dortmund's aspirations, Real Madrid aims to avoid any distractions during this crucial period. Therefore, the signing and sealing of the agreement will be postponed until the Bundesliga campaign concludes. However, it is expected that the announcement will follow promptly after the league's conclusion.
While there were rumours of Real Madrid proposing a player exchange to lower the transfer fee, Dortmund demonstrated disinterest in such a proposition. Notably, despite the substantial contract, Bellingham will not become the highest earner at Real Madrid.
With Bellingham secured on a six-year deal and the futures of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde solidified, Real Madrid's midfield unit appears to be well-equipped for the foreseeable future.
