Borussia Dortmund dismiss Karim Adeyemi transfer rumours
Borussia Dortmund are committed to keeping Karim Adeyemi, despite transfer rumours linking him to Juventus and Chelsea.
Recent weeks have seen Adeyemi's future surrounded by uncertainty, with multiple reports suggesting interest from both Premier League giants Chelsea and Serie A powerhouse Juventus.
Rumours had also circulated that Dortmund were contemplating a substantial transfer fee of around €50 million for the 22-year-old forward, who still has three years remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga club.
However, Dortmund's CEO Lars Ricken has firmly refuted these claims.
Speaking to Ruhr Nachrichten, Ricken stated, "Every day, there seems to be a new name in the press claiming they want to leave, and speculation about how much we would earn from their sale.
"We have never discussed or set any figures, so this is not an issue for us at all."
Adeyemi, who joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2022 for an estimated €30 million, had a somewhat underwhelming season last year.
He managed just five goals and two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, a notable dip from his impressive debut season where he won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award.
With the new season on the horizon, Adeyemi is determined to turn his fortunes around and establish himself as a key player under head coach Nuri Sahin.
Dortmund's unwavering stance on keeping Adeyemi reflects their confidence in his potential to bounce back and make a significant impact in the upcoming campaign.
