Bayern Munich secures Konrad Laimer on free transfer from RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich have formally announced the acquisition of Konrad Laimer on a free transfer from RB Leipzig.

Bayern Munich have officially announced the signing of Konrad Laimer on a free transfer from RB Leipzig.
Laimer, whose contract with Leipzig has expired, has committed his future to the German champions until 2027.
"We are thrilled to have secured Konrad Laimer. He joins us as a two-time DFB Cup winner, and together, we aim to celebrate numerous victories and titles here at FC Bayern," stated Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of FC Bayern.
Konrad Laimer himself expressed his excitement about joining the Allianz Arena, stating, "It's a dream come true to be a part of FC Bayern, one of the world's premier clubs. I will give my all for the team and the fans.
"FC Bayern always strives for the highest goals, just like me. I am in the perfect place. I will dedicate myself fully and eagerly to every training session from day one. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm."
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder, who joined Leipzig from Salzburg in 2017, boasts an impressive record of 190 competitive appearances, contributing 15 goals and 19 assists to Leipzig's success.
