Bayern Munich make countermove in Alphonso Davies transfer drama
Bayern Munich have swiftly responded to the brewing transfer drama surrounding Alphonso Davies by tabling a new contract offer for the Canadian sensation.
The latest development, reported by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, comes as Real Madrid intensify their pursuit of the talented left-back.
Los Blancos have eyed Davies as a long-term solution for their left flank, fuelling ongoing negotiations and even a rumoured verbal agreement with the player's camp. However, Bayern remain adamant about retaining their prized asset, whose contract extends until 2025.
In a bid to secure Davies' future at the Allianz Arena, Bayern have reportedly presented a lucrative proposal. The offer would extend Davies' stay until 2029, with an annual salary of €13 million. This, however, falls short of Davies' purported €20 million demands in discussions with Real Madrid.
Despite Bayern's willingness to negotiate, this latest offer is reportedly their final stance. Should Davies decline, Bayern will reluctantly allow him to depart for the Spanish capital. The ball now rests in Davies' court as the transfer saga continues to unfold.
