Barcelona sign three-time Champions League winner ahead of new season
England international Lucy Bronze has kept her cards close to her chest since leaving Manchester City. However, her next destination has now been revealed.
The 30-year-old will ply her trade in Spain next season after agreeing a two-year deal with Spanish champions Barcelona.ย
Bronze left Manchester City in the summer having made 111 appearances for the club across her two spells there. The full-back also chipped in with 14 goals.
Her first run with the Citizens took place between 2014 and 2017 as she helped the team to the FAWSL crown, the Continental Tyres League Cup and the Women's FA Cup.
The England star then moved to Lyon and enjoyed three successive Champions League successes with the French outfit.
The last of those final victories for Bronze was against Barcelona, who are regarded as one of the biggest teams in women's football.

The Catalan giants were formidable on the domestic scene last season, winning all 30 league games as they powered to the Primera Division crown.
What's more, this is a side who have featured in three of the last four Champions League final showdowns - winning one against Chelsea back in 2021.
Bronze told the Barcelona website: "I'm very happy to play for a club like FC Barcelona, one of the biggest teams in the world. I really want to start working with the team.
"After a couple of conversations, you can't say no to Barca."
