Lucas Moura celebrates at the final whistle after Tottenham Hotspur qualify for the 2019 Champions League final

Being responsible for one of the defining moments in European football history, Lucas Moura has had a highlight reel like no other. Here’s what the Brazilian has had to offer over the past decade.

Lucas Moura has taken to the stage against some of Europe's finest and still comes out on top, boasting a resume of fine performances and even finer goals.

Even before arriving at Tottenham, Moura earned his place at some of the biggest clubs in the world with the likes of Sao Paulo and PSG.

Today, his position in the squad under Jose Mourinho may be in flux, but here Planet Sport looks back on some of his finest hours.

Three of the best against Uruguay, 2011

With a supporting cast consisting of Neymar, Oscar and Willian, it was Lucas Moura's star who shone brightest in a must-win game for Brazil Under-20s back in 2011.
The Selecao were tasked with defeating Uruguay in order to not only win the South American Under-20 Championship, but also qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Moura and co. put their neighbours to the sword, with the pacy winger notching three for himself, along with Danilo and a Neymar brace contributing to the 6-0 romp.

The then-18-year-old's second goal caught the attention of many, turning on the style by beating four defenders before firing in from an acute angle.

A sign of things to come.

    Hat-trick number two, 2012

Hat tricks seem to be becoming a trend so far, and for good measure - Moura boasts four already in his career.
A year later and just aged 20, the forward earned Sao Paulo's equaliser against Sport Recife with the pick of the bunch - taking the ball in his stride and launching a 35-yard thunderbolt.

Moura went on to add two more with a close range effort and a well-worked goal with team-mate Luis Fabiano to help his boyhood club to a 4-2 triumph away from home.

First goal for PSG vs Bordeaux, 2013

PSG broke their transfer record to bring in the promising young starlet back in 2012, costing up to £38million.
Moura was able to record his first goal for the French giants in September of the following year against Bordeaux in a 2-0 win.

Just beating the offside trap, the agile wide man honed in on goal, fooled the 'keeper after teasing a cross and passed into an empty net.

While perhaps not at his most impactful in Paris, Moura won an astonishing 16 honours at the club in an era of domestic dominance.

    Brace at Old Trafford, 2018

Moura's first masterclass at his new home in North London put some early season pressure on his now-manager Jose Mourinho, after the Portuguese only won once in three opening games.
In contrast, the 3-0 win maintained a 100% start for Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Capitalising on the momentum from Harry Kane's headed opener, the Brazilian swept home a cross from a Christian Eriksen-led counter attack to double the lead in the second half.
Quick footwork and an even quicker turn of pace allowed for him to bypass Chris Smalling and he made no mistake by firing into the far corner to cap off an inspired 90 minutes.

Leaving it late against Barca, 2018

Branded as 'mission impossible' by the boss Mauricio Pochettino, Moura clinched a point at Camp Nou with a late equaliser that sent Spurs through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Spurs could only pick up one point from their first three games in Group B of the 2018/19 campaign, only the eighth side in the competition's history to do so and still qualify for the knockout stages.
It was only right that after an imperious display that Harry Kane played a part in the decisive goal, setting up his striking counterpart for perhaps one of his easiest, yet most significant, contributions on the list.
The match would be the first of many peaks in a roller coaster of a European season that saw Spurs make their way to the final for the first time, perhaps a little more on that later.

    Huddersfield hat-trick, 2019

His first hat-trick since arriving in England came in a routine win over Huddersfield, who propped up the table and could only muster a single shot on target in the match.

Moura was gifted with a lovely set up to his first, still with plenty to do nonetheless as he fired home with a trademark guided finish into the far corner.
The home faithful would have to wait for another hour of football in just their second league game in the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Moura's second, after controlling the ball with one foot and condemning Huddersfield to defeat with the other.
The finish for the fourth was sumptuous, at a similar area of the box as his first but dealing with an ever-decreasing angle, his rifled effort left Ben Hamer with no hope.
Miguel Moura, Lucas' son, joined his father and took to the field in celebration after the final whistle in a wholesome display of affection for the family after a sensational performance.

    One night in Amsterdam…

The old adage of 'two buses coming at once' springs to mind in what was not only Moura's crowning moment, but perhaps the jewel in the crown of the Pochettino era at Tottenham.

Moura's second hat-trick in a month and his second for the club could not have come at a better time, trailing 3-0 on aggregate away to Ajax for a place in their first-ever Champions League final.

The ever-determined attacker took over from Dele Alli's penetrating run and finished past Andre Onana to spark the revival.

Spurs were within one goal of the final when some neat footwork and a low driven effort from Moura drew the sides level on the night in the 59th minute.
The Brazilian looked to have bettered the astonishing comeback that was played out at Anfield the night previous, and in the fifth minute of added time, the man of the moment arrived; perhaps only best summarised in visuals.

Super-sub showing against Man City, 2019

In a match-up filled with many story arcs, Moura's impact substitution at the scene of Spurs' dramatic progression to the Champions League semi-finals the season previous meant spoils were shared at the Etihad.

Moura was found by a whipped Erik Lamela corner kick, a headed effort 19 seconds after coming on that was his first of the season.
A VAR decision overturned a late Gabriel Jesus goal and ended the hosts' 15-game unbeaten league run.
