Every goal scored in major tournaments by England's Harry Kane

Harry Kane goal v Denmark with Phil Foden Jul21

After notching against Denmark, England's captain fantastic is one goal away from becoming the outright top goalscorer for England at major tournaments...

It may not have been pretty but Harry Kane and England got the job done against Denmark to send the Three Lions into the final of Euro 2020.

Tottenham's talisman Kane made it four goals for the tournament by converting the rebound after his spot-kick was saved by Kapser Schmeichel.

It put England 2-1 up in extra time, finally breaking the resolve of a determined Danish side, and guaranteeing a home presence in the final on July 11.

With four goals in the tournament, not only is Kane level with Gary Lineker for major tournament goals (10), he is now just one behind leader Cristiano Ronaldo in the chase for the 2020 Golden Boot.

Here, Planet Sport looks at all ten of Kane's goals for England at major tournaments.

Tunisia, FIFA World Cup 2018

June 18, 2018

Group Stage

Kane's first international goal at a major tournament came against Tunisia in England's opening game of the World Cup.

England, under Gareth Southgate, had started brightly as they looked to get ahead early doors - and they did so through a set piece in the 11th minute.

Ashley Young was the provider of the corner as he whipped in a sumptuous cross which the onrushing John Stones met with a powerful header.
The goalkeeper did well to keep out Stones' original effort but could only parry the ball to a perfectly placed Kane who only had to tap the ball home.
Doing what he does best, Kane was in the right place at the right time.

Kane's second goal at a major tournament came in the very same game, but this one would be remembered fondly by fans for the wild celebrations that followed.
Kane had put England ahead with his tap in, but Tunisia was on the verge of securing an unlikely point after equalising through a penalty.
England pushed for a winner but it looked as though they would rue their missed opportunities. That was until another corner did the damage in stoppage time.

Kieran Trippier sent in a cross to the towering Harry Maguire who set up Kane to nod the ball into the net and give England three points.

Panama, FIFA World Cup 2018

Group Stage

Kane was now off the mark at his first major tournament for England with two goals in one game.
It would not take Kane long for him to add to that tally as England ran riot in their second game of the tournament against Panama.

Stones had put England ahead inside the first 10 minutes and Kane doubled England's advantage in the 22nd minute from the penalty spot. After Jesse Lingard had won the penalty, Kane stepped up from 12 yards out and thumped it into the top corner to score his third goal of the competition.

Kane's second goal of the game was another penalty.

Already 4-0 up thanks to a double from Stones and Lingard, Kane had won another spot-kick after being wrestled to the ground during a set-piece. Kane fired it into the top corner once again.

Kane's fifth goal of the tournament is one of his most bizarre goals to date. With England already 5-0 up at half-time, Kane completed his hat-trick in the 61st minute.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek carried the ball from midfield and took a shot from outside of the box only for it to ricochet off Kane's heel and send the keeper the wrong way.

Colombia, FIFA World Cup 2018

July 3, 2018

Round of 16

Kane's final goal of the tournament came in a round-of-16 clash against Colombia. Unable to break the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes, Kane won another penalty after being wrestled to the ground once again.
Without fail, Kane scored his third penalty of the World Cup and put the Three Lions ahead in the 57th minute. England went on to win on penalties 4-3. Yes, you heard right. England won a penalty shootout.

His sixth and final goal of the tournament was enough to ensure Kane received the Golden Boot award.

Germany, UEFA Euro 2020

June 29, 2021

Round of 16

Despite high hopes and expectations before Euro 2020, Kane struggled to find his form in front of goal during the group stage.

He had failed to score in each of the first three group stage games and more worryingly, mustered just one shot on target against Czech Republic.

England welcomed Germany to Wembley Stadium in a round-of-16 showdown in one of the standout clashes of the tournament.

Southgate's side had not beaten Germany at a major tournament in 55 years, the last one being at the 1966 World Cup final - a final which England won and took football home.

Raheem Sterling had put the hosts ahead but Germany pressed for an equaliser and Thomas Muller should have done so with a glorious chance in the second-half.

Kane would seal progress into the quarter-finals by connecting with the head from a delightful ball from Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.

Kane scoring his first goal of Euro 2020 was as vital as England moving into the next round.

Ukraine, UEFA Euro 2020

July 3, 2021

Quarter-final

Kane was now back to his goalscoring best and it wouldn't take him long to add to his goal tally against Ukraine.

England met Ukraine in Rome for a spot in the semi-final and England looked intent from the start to put the game to bed early - and they did just that in the fourth minute.
Raheem Sterling was the provider as he played in a perfect ball to the onrushing Kane who did well to guide the ball past the keeper and put England 1-0 up.

England were now 2-0 up following a quick-fire goal from Harry Maguire after the restart.

Kane would go on to inflict even more pain on Ukraine in the 50th minute.

Shaw did well to pick out Kane in the box, who was left totally unmarked and he headed it firmly between the goalkeeper's legs. The game ended 4-0.

Denmark, UEFA Euro 2020

July 7, 2021

Semi-final

With the sides locked together at 1-1, Raheem Sterling's tumble in the box presented Kane with a gilt-edged chance in the first period of extra time.

But whether it was the prospect of facing Kasper Schmeichel - a keeper who knows his penalty technique well - or the magnitude of the occasion, Kane's spot-kick was far from convincing.

Schmeichel guessed right but could only parry the ball back out into the path of Kane who this time made no mistake, burying the ball past the sprawling Dane to put England 2-1 up and bring about a first major final for the Three Lions in 55 years.
The strike also put Kane on four goals for the tournament, one behind Golden Boot leader Cristiano Ronaldo, with one match to play - the final against Italy.
