Chris Wakelin reaches second career ranking event final at Northern Ireland Open
Chris Wakelin reached only his second ranking event final with a 6-1 victory over Jack Lisoswki in the Northern Ireland Open.
The 31-year-old from Nuneaton, who won his first title in the Shoot Out in January, reeled off five frames in a row to sink world number 13 Lisowski.
“I’ve never played that well on such a big occasion, especially given how talented and dangerous Jack is,” Wakelin told reporters.
He will face Judd Trump, who came from 4-1 down to beat Barry Hawkins 6-4, finishing in style with a clearance of 128.
