2025 Bahrain Darts Masters free darts betting tips, predictions and best bets
The 2025 darts calendar starts moving through the gears with it's first big tournament of January - The Bahrain Darts Masters. We've put together some tips for the action that starts on January 16.
Darts' newest and youngest World Champion, Luke Littler, returns to the Bahrain Darts Masters to defend the crown this time last year.
Littler claimed £500,000 for going all the way at Alexandra Palace – a total which makes Bahrain’s total prize pot of £60,000 look like small fries.
The Englishman defeated Michael van Gerwen to claim the Sid Waddell trophy a fortnight ago. He also beat the Dutchman to win the Bahrain Darts Masters 12 months ago. No wonder Mighty Mike has decided to pull out this year.
With the Green Machine out of contention, the challenge of stopping Littler will fall to the likes of Luke Humphries, Rob Cross and Stephen Bunting.
There are eight PDC stars heading to the Middle East, with Gerwyn Price, Chris Dobey, Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright joining the aforementioned trio.
The other eight players participating are a mixture of Asian invitees and Bahrain qualifiers.
Realistically, the Asian and Bahrain representatives are just there to make up the numbers and help the sport grow away from the British shores. Even a single match win for these men would be regarded as a giant killing.
The winner of the tournament will most likely be a man called Luke. The real question is whether his surname will be Littler of Humphries.
While Littler powered to the title at Alexandra Palace, Humphries endured a fourth-round exit at the hands of Peter Wright.
For some, that result would mark a major hiccup for Cool Hand Luke. However, Humphries recent nine-darter at an exhibition event in Germany would suggest that the Leeds United fan remains in tip top form.
When Littler and Humphries are at their optimum, there are few players in the world who can keep pace.
With that in mind, we’re backing Humphries to earn some much-needed world championship redemption by going all the way in the first event of the new season.
In terms of a dark horse, we like the look of Stephen Bunting. The Ally Pally semi-finalist was humbled by Littler a fortnight ago, however he will be far more dangerous over the short format.
If you’re looking for a value bet, Bunting to reach the final is the way to go.
