Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois tips: Battle of Brits expected to provide knockout finish

Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois

Anthony Joshua will be looking to become a three-time world heavyweight champion when he takes on Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.

There are just five men in the history of boxing who have made it to the top of the heavyweight division on three separate occasions.

Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Michael Moorer are all in that elite group.

Joshua has a chance to join them on Saturday night when he battles the current IBF title holder, Daniel Dubois.

For Joshua, this fight marks the culmination of a long road towards another title opportunity. The Brit last contended for the heavyweight belts back in September 2022 when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time.

There were serious doubts over Joshua’s motivation and heart, but the Olympic champion slowly and surely rebuilt his stock.

The heavyweight contender has improved with every performance since the Usyk rematch, going on to beat Jermaine Franklin on points, Robert Helenius in the seventh round, Otto Wallin in the fifth and then lastly, Francis Ngannou in the second.

Standing across the ring from Joshua will be his hungry pretender, Daniel Dubois.

The 27-year-old is the IBF champion heading into Wembley, but in reality, he is very much seen as the underdog.

Dubois’ heart has been questioned on a number of occasions but its fair to say that the last couple of fights have certainly underlined his qualities.

TKO wins over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic have propelled Dubois into the elite heavyweight category. This weekend, the Brit will be looking to prove that he deserves to stay there.

Joshua and Dubois boast 45 combined knockout victories in their professional careers. With that in mind, we’re backing a knockout finish this Saturday night.

While Dubois was impressive in his last two fights, he did take a lot of punches himself. One thing we know for sure is that he can’t afford to eat too many from the likes of Joshua.

Speaking of the title contender, Joshua has looked incrementally better across his last four outings.

With experience on his side and a newly-found motivation keeping him going, we’re backing Joshua to get the job done early.
