2025 UK Open: Free darts betting tips, predictions and best bets

The darting world descends on Butlin’s in Minehead this week for the 23rd edition of the UK Open – otherwise known as the FA Cup of darts.
A total of 158 players - including some of the biggest names in the sport - will battle across three days for the £110,000 winner’s prize.
Unfortunately for the tournament heavyweights, this competition tends to throw up almighty curveballs, with the likes of Danny Noppert, Andrew Gilding and Dimitri Van den Bergh going on to lift the trophy in recent years.
Here, we take a closer look at the main contenders and pick out some of the best bets for the event.
Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Who will win the 2025 UK Open?
Dimitri Van den Bergh arrives in Minehead as the defending champion, but let’s face it, the Belgian has more chance winning the Butlin’s cannonball title than retaining the UK Open.
The 30-year-old did reach the World Masters semi-final but apart from that, there really isn’t much to shout about so far this season.
The man he beat to win the title, Luke Humphries, is a far more realistic choice at around the 6/1 mark. Cool Hand Luke arrives as the World Masters champion and one of the best performing players in the current Premier League season.
If anyone is capable of stopping Humphries, it’s going to be his arch nemesis Luke Littler. The youngster arrives as the current world champion and the bookmaker’s favourite for the title.
The UK Open was Littler’s first PSC event, with the teenager making his debut in the 2023 edition when he reached the fourth round. The Nuke bettered his run a year later, making it all the way to the quarter-final.
Michael van Gerwen is another name that always features prominently with the bookmakers on their odds list.
The Dutchman is a legend of the game and remains a threat – especially at these big events.
With three UK Open titles to his name, MVG is the joint-second most successful player in tournament history. The only man to win more titles was, of course, Phil Taylor who took gold on five occasions.
If you are looking for someone outside of the top three, Gerwyn Price is the man you want to consider.
The Welshman has made a storming start to his Premier League campaign, he reached a final and semi-final in his two World Series of Darts events and also picked up one Players Championship title on the Pro Tour.
At 14/1, Price certainly offers plenty of value for money. Don’t forget, he also has good history at this event, making two previous finals in 2017 and 2020.
