Wolverhampton each-way tip: Course-distance winner My Turn Now poised to bounce back

Runners in the Betway Novice Stakes race past an empty grandstand at Dunstall Park, Wolverhampton Racecourse, January 2021

Our friends at Tipstrr have put their heads together to come up with one of their most widely-tipped selections in the very last race of the night at Wolverhampton.

21:00 Wolverhampton: Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Classified Stakes  (5 furlongs)

With two short-priced market leaders, there’s some each-way interest down the betting, with Street Life, Restricted and even apparent rank outsider Next Second looking capable of giving a better account of themselves than their odds might suggest.

That said, it hard to look too far past the two principals, with My Genghis topping the market, despite his most recent win coming over this very trip a dozen outings ago in January 2023.

That makes Tony Carroll’s five-year-old look vulnerable at such a short price, and appears to open the door to the better value offered by My Turn Now, whose opening 8/1 odds have been halved to a best-priced 4/1 at the time of writing.

More than half of her 14 career outings have been at this track, where she was a winner over this distance during her winter campaign, just three races ago.

Michael Attwater’s four-year-old filly looked like she needed the run on her reappearance from a five-month break at Lingfield a fortnight ago, but with those cobwebs nicely blown away, she could well strip fitter on this return to her preferred venue.

The five-pound allowance of promising claimer Kaiya Fraser can only help her cause, and judging by her market support, it would not be a major surprise to see her back on the winning trail here.

Suggested best bet: My Turn Now each-way in the 21:00 at Wolverhampton
