14:40 (Thirsk) Northern Express
14:55 (Newmarket) Twilight Calls

13:45 (Newmarket) Noble Style
Top-weight Noble Style finished sixth in the 2000 Guineas last season. During the three-year-old campaign landed the Gimcrack Stakes, however this gelded son of Kingman was disappointing at Chester when last seen in August.
Blinkers worn that day have been removed and he retains plenty of potential making handicap debut.
The unexposed Rabaah finished a creditable fifth delivering initial handicap at York on previous outing last June. Has been gelded since and could have more to offer as a four-year-old.
Evergreen Summerghand cannot be ruled out after finishing a close-up fifth off this mark tackling track and trip.
Others to note include Apollo One and Rohaan.
14:05 (Goodwood) Choisya
Choisya enjoys this course having won a 1m handicap at the Glorious Goodwood Festival here last August.
Smart and with a close second in this grade at Kempton AW last month over 1m holds every chance in the Conqueror Fillies' Stakes.
Orchid Bloom maintains a consistent profile. Showed plenty of ability at Saint-Cloud (France) in September when a close second among Listed company attempting this journey and has a big chance.
Breege went well at Ascot during October finishing a head second in this grade over 7f. Placed both previous starts at this track and might go well again.
Previous course winner Novus won the opening race on this card last year. Now second up for the prep and not to be dismissed.
14:20 (Newcastle) Theoryofeverything
It could pay to focus on the form of the 1m handicap that took place here eighteen days ago.
Theoryofeverything caught the eye finishing fourth in that contest after being forced to switch for a clear run. May reverse form racing off the same mark with William Buick booked.
Hafeet Alain narrowly got the better of Dutch Decoy that day and both could be in the mix once more with the former respected under a 4lb penalty.
Mr Professor landed the valuable Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster on seasonal return in April and must be considered.
Four-year-old Torito was last seen finishing fourth attempting the G3 Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
14:40 (Thirsk) Northern Express
The Thirsk Hunt Cup Handicap is one of the biggest races of the year on the Thirsk calendar.
Northern Express won this last year and produced a decent fifth making seasonal return among this handicap company over seven furlongs at Newmarket last month.
La Trinidad showed plenty of ability at Redcar two starts ago during October when a smart second tackling 1m in this handicap grade. Rates a big chance on best form.
Hiromichi found successcontesting a lower level 1m handicap at Ripon and will be in the mix.
Thunder Roar brings consistent form. Proven at the level and could also feature.
14:55 (Newmarket) Twilight Calls
Twilight Calls can snap a lengthy winless streak with victory in the Palace House Stakes.
Henry Candy’s charge has not hit the target since securing a handicap victory at this track in April 2022, before going on to finish fifth in the Palace House and second in the King’s Stand Stakes, after which he embarked on an extended break.
He returned to action in this race last term but with soft ground and an unfavourable draw against him, he was beaten five lengths in ninth which set the tone for a season highlighted by a luckless fourth place in the King’s Stand.
Twilight Calls has twice won on his seasonal bow and the six-year-old can get his campaign off to a better start this time with good ground ideal.
15:35 (Newmarket) City Of Troy
City Of Troy will not be much of a price for the Qipco 2000 Guineas, but it is hard to side against him in the Newmarket Classic.
Aidan O’Brien and the Coolmore partners have held this Justify colt in the highest of regard since his winning Curragh debut in July, after which he promptly graduated to Group Two level with a brilliant six-and-a-half-length success over Haatem in the Superlative Stakes.
City Of Troy missed a subsequent National Stakes run due to unsuitable ground but he made up for the lost opportunity when romping home by three and a half lengths in the Dewhurst.
The reopposing Alyanaabi took second that day, with Haatem fifth and Iberian in sixth, but City Of Troy won with any amount in hand so there is no reason to think they can turn that form around.
Rosallion is one of those to provide a fresh challenge, but all the updates from Ballydoyle have been positive and City Of Troy looks sure to improve for a longer trip given his pedigree.
