Newmarket racegoers at July Festival on Thursday

It's the final day of Newmarket's July Festival on Saturday afternoon and the ITV cameras also have races from York and Ascot for the Planet Sport tipsters to feast on this July 13.

The Group 1 July Cup (1635) is the highlight of the five Newmarket races on show, while York serves up four including the Group 3 Silver Cup and Ascot has two with the Group 2 Summer Mile the feature.

With a bumper 11 races to get through it's going to be a busy day, so let's get stuck in with a quick run through our Saturday tips, with the reasons why we've picked them further down the page.

If you fancy a punt or two, check out the Planet Sport race centre which will show you all the live odds, racecards and results.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's first publication)

Saturday's tips in full:

13:45 (Ascot) King's Lynn

14:00 (York) Elnajmm

14:12 (Newmarket) Miss Bodacious

14:20 (Ascot) Quddwah

14:35 (York) Rogue Lightning

14:50 (Newmarket) First Conquest

15:10 (York) Paradias

15:25 (Newmarket) Ancient Truth

15:45 (York) Klondike

16:00 (Newmarket) Yorkshire

16:35 (Newmarket) Vandeek

13:45 (Ascot) King's Lynn

King's Lynn showed plenty of ability at Newcastle running 1.25L second in a similar level 6f handicap. Rates highly if replicating form.

Get It bids for a hat-trick following a 1.25L success contesting a lower graded 6f handicap at Epsom Downs last week and holds every chance to go close.

Existent ran well at Sandown a week ago finishing a strong second in a 5f handicap. Recorded a decent fifth in this race last year and makes for plenty of appeal.

14:00 (York) Elnajmm

Elnajmm bids for a hat-trick following a 2.75L success attempting a similar level 1m handicap at Newcastle and has a strong chance.

Blue For You won this race by three lengths last year. Races off a lower handicap mark after the six-year-old posted a solid fourth here during May.

La Trinidad found success by one length contesting a lower level 1m handicap at Redcar and holds appeal.

Empirestateofmind made the frame at Haydock last September tackling heavy going when third over 1m and shouldn't be ruled out.

14:12 (Newmarket) Miss Bodacious

Miss Bodacious came home from off the pace to make a winning handicap debut over course and distance.

Providing she handles the different ground this unexposed Karl Burke-trained filly could prove equal to the 10lb rise in weights.

Fellow last-time-out track and trip winner Lou Lou's Gift appears to be heading in the right direction and must enter calculations.

Heritage House commands respect back in a handicap after a third tackling the Listed Eternal Stakes at Carlisle.

14:20 (Ascot) Quddwah

The Crisford team can also be on the mark at Ascot with Quddwah in the Anne Cowley Memorial Summer Mile Stakes.

Winner of each of his three runs so far, Quddwah saw off Docklands by a neck on his first crack in Listed company, with that rival going on to be second in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot.

An unsatisfactory blood count also ended his Ascot hopes but he still appears to be on the upgrade.

14:35 (York) Rogue Lightning

Rogue Lightning did get his chance at the Royal meeting but failed to cut any ice in the King Charles III Stakes, coming home a well-beaten 11th.

He had previously finished a reasonable sixth in the Temple Stakes, but Wathnan Racing’s £1million purchase has been a bit below the form that saw him finish fifth in the Prix de l’Abbaye last term.

Dropping to Listed level in the John Smith’s City Walls Stakes at York can help him get back on track.

14:50 (Newmarket) First Conquest

First Conquest can initiate a double for Appleby and William Buick in the bet365 Mile Handicap.

Winner of the Wood Ditton back in April on his racecourse bow, he was then comprehensively beaten in a York novice, with a Newmarket defeat in the same sphere earning him a first handicap mark of 91 here.

15:10 (York) Paradias

Paradias is worth a shout at double-figure odds in the John Smith’s Cup having run a fine race at Epsom on Oaks day.

Beaten less than a length, he finished with a flourish to take second and the handicapper has not been too harsh with a 1lb rise.

15:25 (Newmarket) Ancient Truth

Charlie Appleby has saddled four winners of the bet365 Superlative Stakes over the last 10 years and Ancient Truth can further enhance those statistics.

Successful over six furlongs on the Rowley Mile first time up, the Dubawi colt made a seamless switch to seven furlongs on the July Course on his most recent start, triumphing by just short of two lengths.

He looked a bit green at the first attempt but was much more professional last time and looks a colt to follow given the cosy manner of that win.

15:45 (York) Klondike

Klondike scored narrowly the course and distance Listed Grand Cup Stakes. Progressive racing for a top yard and stays well. Ticks plenty of boxes.

Having won a G2 in France Al Qareem was not disgraced when fifth tackling the 1m4f G2 Grand Prix de Chantilly. This is easier and can take a step forward, so makes for plenty of appeal.

Salt Bay ran well at this venue four weeks back finishing a close second behind the main selection in the aforementioned Listed Grand Cup and should be thereabouts.

16:00 (Newmarket) Yorkshire

Yorkshire finished fifth last time in a race over an extended mile and the drop back to seven furlongs should suit at a big each-way price.

Ed Bethell’s four-year-old has only had nine runs, so has plenty of scope to improve and has already had six top-three finishes, half of which were wins.

David Allan takes the ride, and he is a very underrated jockey who is certainly capable of bringing the best out of Yorkshire here.

16:35 (Newmarket) Vandeek

Vandeek had to miss out on his Royal Ascot target but compensation could await in the My Pension Expert July Cup.

Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, Vandeek carried all before him during his juvenile career, winning each of his four starts, culminating in back-to-back Group One strikes in the Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes.

He was a hot favourite for the Commonwealth Cup during the winter months and carried plenty of expectation on his seasonal return in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock in May.

However, he let down his supporters that day as he proved no match for Inisherin, being beaten four lengths into third when conceding 3lb on ground that was probably more testing than ideal on his first spin of the year.

An abnormal blood count saw him bypass an Ascot rematch with eventual impressive winner Inisherin, but now back to full fitness, off level weights and on ground that may suit a little better, Vandeek could offer a little more value to those willing to risk he is back on track.
