14:25 (Newmarket) Running Lion
Running Lion can make a winning start to the campaign. Thought highly of as a three-year-old but struggled to get the results last year while finished off with an eighth in the G1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes.
Caernarfon was a consistent performer the previous prep. Went close attempting the 1000 Guineas and the Oaks last year. In the mix.
Silver Lady took the G2 Cape Verdi at Meydan mid-January and returns to the UK. Consider.
15:00 (Newmarket) Torcello
Torcello appears to be on a winnable mark. Started the new campaign with a Pontefract win and followed up with a good third at the same track. Extra distance expected to spark improvement.
Intinso was seeking a double when third at Kempton Park AW tackling 1m3f. In good order and has the advantage of race fitness.
Bague D’Or holds each way claims after eight month absence. Last seen finishing fourth at Doncaster. Proven over longer distances.
15:40 (Newmarket) Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang races as sole representative of the Ballydoyle yard. Ended last season with a victory in the course and distance G1 Fillies Mile on soft ground. Could prove effective and capable of a big performance.
Fallen Angel sets the form standard as the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner. Connections report the filly to be in excellent condition and a bold bid is anticipated.
