17:25 (Newcastle) The Hun
The Hun is backed to provide trainer Karl Burke with yet another juvenile success this season in the Download The At The Races App EBF Novice Stakes.
While no match for the more experienced favourite Prepschool on his introduction at Ripon a month ago, the Showcasing colt was doing his best work at the finish over the mile and was clearly best of the chasing pack.
A step up to a mile and quarter looks sure to suit as he switches to the all-weather in the north east and he should prove hard to beat.
18:30 (Newcastle) Korroor
The unexposed Korroor steps up to 7f following two fifth placed efforts this term, and could well prove a cut above now tried against lesser company.
Whatwouldiknow remains a maiden after seven runs. Threatened to win at Beverley but was narrowly denied by half a length, so can't be far off a first win.
Likeashadow and Amayretto could get among the places.
19:30 (Newcastle) Lily In The Jungle
Lily In The Jungle struggled the past two starts finishing ninth on both occasions.
Now eased drastically in the weights and is fancied for a return to winning ways.
With two wins from four placings Yoshimi is also in contention. Top weighted but still looking one to beat on recent successes.
Min Till struggled at Southwell last time out. Nicely weighted and showing glimpses of talent to holds place claims.
20:30 (Newcastle) Ibiza Rocks
Ibiza Rocks carries top weight which is less than when finishing fifth on penultimate start at the course. Plenty to like about his chances.
Absolute Dream returned to winning ways at Hamilton. This success has been noticed by the handicapper but can continue to replicate and warrants respect.
Atlantic Heart and Explorers Way shouldn't be ruled out.
