Beverley best bet: Return to mile trip can bring best from Premiership

Beverley racecourse
With several high-quality handicappers arriving in top form, this could be a cracker of a one-mile race to round off the afternoon’s proceedings at Beverley.

No less than seven of the 12 runners are currently carrying a double-digit price, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that at least one of them might put themselves in the mix, with Ribkana and Brabusach both having the credentials to put themselves in the frame, especially with four places widely available.

That setback can probably be excused by the fact that he was asked to step up to ten furlongs from his usual mile trip, which makes his three wins from four previous outings this summer, all over a mile, much more relevant to his chances here.
This will be Premiership’s third outing for the Wigham yard since leaving Tracy Waggott in mid-summer, so now that they’ve established his optimum trip, a return to winning ways would not be a major shock here.
Suggested bet: Premiership each-way in the 17:45 at Beverley
