15:15 (Beverley) Masterclass
Paul Midgley has won the last two runnings of the Annie Oxtoby Memorial Handicap and can take the first division this year with stable debutant Masterclass.
Knocking on the door on the all-weather this spring when trained by David Simcock, the five-year-old remains well treated and has joined a team who often excel with sprinters.
15:45 (Beverley) Fortunate Star
Pontefract third Herakles gives the Midgley team useful claims in the second division of the five-furlong event, but preference is for Declan Carroll’s Fortunate Star who kept on well to score at Catterick last month and could have more in the locker.
16:45 (Beverley) Kingmont
A return to a quicker surface can see Kingmont regain the winning thread in the Clearanswer Call Centres Handicap.
Down the field on her only juvenile start, she looked a different proposition on reappearance when digging deep to grab the glory in a Kempton maiden by a neck.
However, deep ground at Doncaster did not suit just under two weeks later when she came home third, beaten 11 lengths, on what was her handicap debut.
Her mark has been left unchanged on 73 and it is possibly best to just put a line through that run.
17:15 (Beverley) Spartan Warrior
Spartan Warrior justified favouritism at this track last time out in early May. Up in trip and can continue to progress.
Miss Gitana is without a placing in five starts. Unexposed over the distance and not without a chance.
Solar Bentley finished second previous two outings and should be thereabouts, along with Walter Hartright who showed signs of improvement when third recently.
