Bath free racing tip: Early favourite expected to justify market support

Our tipsters have been studying the form from a bumper Tuesday racecard at Bath, where this extended five-furlong dash promises to be one of the most competitive races of the day.

While there’s plenty of each-way value in the line-up, clear early favourite Saytarr looks likely to have his dozen rivals battling behind him for the minor places.
This Mehmas colt seems to be improving with every run, culminating in a best-yet runner-up spot when last seen tackling six furlongs of heavy ground at Ffos Las 33 days ago.
Facing similar testing conditions to those expected here, and sporting first-time cheekpieces that are reapplied today, he was beaten by just a neck, with the front two well clear of the rest.
His mark of 65 has only climbed by a pound and the Charlie Fellowes-trained two-year-old can be expected to leave that mark well behind and improve further, so looks well worth siding with here before the handicapper applies any further pressure.
Callum Shepherd missed his last outing, but had been on board 11 days earlier, when coming a decent third of 11 on Southwell’s all-weather track, and the underrated jockey could well return to bring another prominent run from Saytarr here.
