APURO (6) returned last time with a solid second at Remington Park (Dirt) over 6f after being in the firing line on the turn. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race. PEVS DISTANT DRUM (1) went forward last time and battled on gamely to finish just half a length from the winner in second over 5f at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino (Dirt). Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. TIME TRAVELIN (5) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just half a length from the winner in second over 6f at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino after being in the firing line on the bend. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. COMPELLING UNCLE (4) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino, beaten 10 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
