MARDENE (4) failed to figure again last time over 6f at this track, beaten 5 lengths into seventh. Looks well placed this line-up and deserves another chance. VERI COLLECTED (3) faced the starter for the first time and finished seventh last start at this track over 6½f, beaten 12 lengths. Fitter and with the blinkers added is expected to be in the finish. ROYAL RIBBON (8) did little and finished 15 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m1/2f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than her fifth at this track the run before. Finds a suitable assignment and can take this out. GET OUT THE VOTE (2) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at this track over 6f, beaten 4 lengths. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
