LONG POND (1) ran fifth at his latest appearance over 6½f at this track, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner. Has a solid record here including two wins and nine minor placings from 19 outings. Sure to prove tough to stop. MIDNIGHT ARKLE (3) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when ninth, beaten 7 lengths, over 6½f at this track. This is a nice drop in grade so he is set to turn things around. HIGHLAND SOCIETY (7) was sent out at 20/1 last time but ran above expectations and won over 6½f at this track. Sound record at this distance with two wins and six minor placings from 12 runs and shapes as a key runner. GHOUL (5) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 6½f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well.
