POMPEII EMPIRE (3) comes here off a break of six months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5¼f at Balaklava. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. CHILL WITH TEEJAY (2) hit winning form last time to score over 6f at Mt Gambier but tackles tougher grade here. Has further upside and can measure up again. SMILING FROM ABOVE (5) wound up strongly only to just miss when when resuming last start over 6f at Gawler. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Nicely placed to take this out. WILLASTON (4) resumed over 5¼f at this track last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by 0.9 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
