PREVARICATE (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 6½f at Armidale after being prominent at the turn. Has the class to find the winners' list. CONTRICK (6) is a nine-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 5 lengths when eighth over 6f at this track. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. ROSEFINCH (10) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 7f at Gatton. Among the main hopes.
