ANOTHER COGNAC (6) hit the frame two starts ago at Randwick Kensington but ran below par last time when tenth and beaten 6 lengths over 5½f at Rosehill. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is one of the main contenders. KIRIBATI (5) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Should be doing best work late. ABSTRUSE (13) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 5f at Moruya. Among the main chances. DEHORNED UNICORN (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 27 finishing fifth and beaten 3 lengths over 5½f at Randwick. Definite top-three chance.
