SACRED EAGLE (1) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 6f at this track, beaten 0.6 lengths. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish. MICHELOTTI (7) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing eighth over 7f27yards at Seymour. Rates highly in this line up. Gets his chance. DOUGAL MCKEEN (5) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 7f at Echuca. Expected to be there at the business end. STORMSTOUT (8) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep with a tenth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1m at Caulfield. Everything points to a big run.
