ENCOURAGED (3) has started twice, running a good second on debut then finishing ninth, beaten 4 lengths, last time over 6f at Sale. Looks well placed and is worth another chance. CHARCOALS (2) finished third, beaten 2 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Echuca. Nicely placed to take this out. TALIHINA SKY (13) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Ballarat over 5f, beaten 2 lengths. Fitter and with the blinkers added is sure to be competitive. EQUAL POWER (6) wasn't far away on debut last start over 5f at Mornington, finishing fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths. Can figure in the finish.
