RING OF STEEL (7) finished sixth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 5½f at Ipswich, beaten only 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of running a bold race. GHOST HUNTER (5) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by a nose over 5¼f at Gold Coast Poly. That continued the solid form this campaign, with three wins from six runs. Leading player again. IRISH MAUDIE (11) finished out of the money two starts back then she got a long way back and was beaten 1.75 lengths when fourth over 5f at Sunshine Coast three-and-a-half weeks ago. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she cannot be taken lightly. ENABLER (4) has not appeared since he finished eighth over 6f at Ipswich on July 19. Can make his presence felt.
