Will prove tough to beat. KAROO GOLD (2) finished 2.25 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m1f at Turffontein Standside six-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Has a high cruising speed. Expected to be in the finish. ROCK OF BISMANTOVA (3) was in commission last time out but disappointed in finishing fourth over 1m at Scottsville, beaten 4 lengths. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. CRYSTAL MAIDEN (10) finished third last start over 1m5f at Turffontein Inside to make it three minor placings from six runs. Has a sound record here with three top-three finishes from four starts. Worth considering.
