Reunites with Piere Strydom who has four wins from 12 rides. Best form puts him right in this. FRANCES ETHEL (9) finished 6 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1m at this track four weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will play a major role. ROYAL VICTORY (4) resumed over 1m last time out and turned in a solid effort to finish second at Greyville. Has a perfect record over this longer journey. Poses a genuine threat. MAIN DEFENDER (2) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign to finish just half a length from the winner in second over 1m1f at this track. Finds a nice race and can secure another top-three finish.
