TE PANI (12) held on well to finish second when when resuming from a break last time out over 5½f at Warwick Farm after leading for much of the way. Rates highly and will be hard to peg back. OCTAVIAN TREASURE (11) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 5f at Hawkesbury in a tougher race. Likely improver so she will prove tough to beat. HOKUSAI (10) showed good early speed and led around the bend last start before being cut down, finishing fourth and beaten 2.5 lengths over this journey at Canterbury. Sure to be hard to catch. STUDY (20) has not raced since her debut on August 29 over 6½f at Newcastle when she finished eighth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Top-three chance with that run under her belt.
