UPSTART LEGEND (12) was beaten just a nose last start when second in a small field over 4f at Ipswich at the first run of the campaign on a heavy surface. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Will play a major role. QUADE (9) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Goes well over this trip, filling a placing at all four starts, including a win and should be hard to stop. BIG SKY COUNTRY (4) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by one length over 4f76yards at this track. WRITTLE (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Doomben, beaten 2.75 lengths into sixth. Justin Huxtable gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. No surprise to see him in the mix.
