Group 3 placegetter NODACHI (12) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6f at Cranbourne. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing. PIIINK BEAUTY (8) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 6½f at Stawell. Well placed and expected to feature. INVINCIBLE POWER (10) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.8 lengths of the winner in second last start over 6f at Warrnambool. Top-three prospects.
