THA MAESTRO (9) was well fancied last start over 1m2 1/2f at Echuca when seventh, beaten 10 lengths. Rates highly and expected to atone. THE AMBASSADOR (10) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 1.75 lengths when sixth over 1m1/4f at Donald two-and-a-half weeks ago. Nicely placed to get the prize. RICH CURVES (7) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5.5 lengths away in tenth over 7½f at Mornington. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. SPEEDY SPOOKS (8) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 1/2f at Echuca, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
