TEMPER THE STORM (11) is back from a lay-off of eight months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly. Placed in a recent trial. Best fresh figures put him right in this. POSEIDON RULER (5) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just four times from 42 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 1m at Eagle Farm, beaten 2 lengths. Has the ability to take this out. COLD ONE (2) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 7f at Gold Coast, getting home by half a length. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again. ARAMINTA (15) ran well below her best last time over 6¾f at Doomben, beaten 6 lengths into fourth at 3/1. Generally performs well here and has registered three minor placings. Must be respected.
