BIRMINGHAM (3) showed good early pace over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly last time and kept going to score by 2.5 lengths. Tricky draw to overcome but does have good gate speed. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. HAYAKU (1) finished 4.5 lengths away in sixth last start over 7f at Beaudesert in a disappointing performance. Definitely worth another chance. DECEMBER DIAMOND (7) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was handy all the way over 1m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MRS GOSSIP (14) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just a neck from the winner in second over 6½f at Toowoomba. This looks a good race for her so another forward showing looks likely.
