LADY SKYLLA (6) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.2 lengths from the winner in second over 7½f at Gawler after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. COMMISSIONS (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 7½f at Gawler, beaten 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. IRISH THORN (2) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start when he made late ground but found one better over 7½f at Gawler, beaten only a head. Looks well placed so expect another big run. GIORGI (12) is a two-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at Gawler over 7½f, beaten 4.5 lengths. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
