BRAVEMANSGAME (1) has been diverted to this race ahead of a repeat bid in the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on Boxing Day. Fair second in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby when making a mistake at the last fence against a race-fit rival. May prove tough to beat. PROTEKTORAT (3) won this event twelve months ago. Produced fair but unplaced efforts in two Grade 1 races subsequently including a fifth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Might need first outing back. ROYALE PAGAILLE (4) is a course specialist. Three wins from four attempts at this track and placed second in the race during 2021. CORACH RAMBLER (2) won the Grand National last season. Disappointing on reappearance.
