BALMORAL (3) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at his second outing when in the firing line on the turn, finishing 1.75 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 5f at Hawkesbury. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. PARUNA (6) is a three-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 2.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Kembla Grange. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. PORTFOLIA (4) wasn't far away on debut last start over 5f at Kembla Grange, finishing third and beaten 1.75 lengths. Expected to feature with improvement to come. ENHANCE (8) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a sixth over 5f at Muswellbrook. Looks up to the mark following a trial win at Rosehill. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
