NEWPORT BAY (4) can start slowly but is by a sire whose progeny act on slower ground. Receiving a workable mark holds claims if breaking on terms. GOODEVENINGMRBOND (2) was a winner over 5f at Chepstow (good to soft) two runs ago. Held since but this looks more suitable. WHOOP WHOOP (1) is admirably consistent though did perform below expectations the last time she tackled an easy surface. WHITELEY WAY (3) has been absent since mid-July. Might prove a threat on handicap debut.
