CROSS CLAIM (3) is back from a lay-off of eight months. Closed last prep with a sixth, beaten 7 lengths, over 5½f at Lone Star Park. A bold showing is expected. FAST TRACK (6) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when eighth over 6½f at this track, beaten 18 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so she is one of the main contenders. CRANKY SHEILA (2) was in contention on the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten 6 lengths. Nicely placed to play a major role. SPACE PIRATE (1) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when seventh over 6f at this track, beaten 30 lengths. Nicely placed to play a leading role.
