STAR CANTO (13) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6f at Ballarat, finishing third and beaten 1.75 lengths. Will be very hard to beat with that run under the belt. THE WESTERN FRONT (8) debuted two-and-a-half weeks ago when he finished fourth over 6½f at Cranbourne, beaten 2.5 lengths. Can improve sharply and is expected to feature. TYCOONETTE (14) finished second at Pakenham Synthetic two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 6½f at Bendigo, finishing 19 lengths back in 13th. Nicely placed to turn things around. MAUI MAN (2) raced on the speed last time but couldn't finish the race off and clocked-in fifth over 6½f at Cranbourne. Appeals as a top-four contender.
