NEWFOUNDLAND (4) finds it hard to win with just one success from 10 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. Hard to beat in this suitable race. OLYMPIC GAZE (7) finished eighth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1m3 1/2f at Newcastle, beaten only 1.4 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is right in contention. KING OF CLUBS (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when eighth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1m4f at this track after he was in contention on the turn. Will strip fitter and is a key runner. WHISKER TO WHISKER (8) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished third at Hawkesbury two starts back then landed the prize by a nose last time out over 1m3 1/2f at Newcastle. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
