HILARITY (12) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Launceston but couldn't back it up last start when sixth, beaten 5 lengths, over 7f at Launceston. Has raced four times here and has never missed the frame. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. BUEL (1) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 7f at Launceston. Will be tough to hold out again. SMART ARTIE (17) turned in a strong performance when resuming when in the money at Launceston but disappointed last time when seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, at Launceston over 7f after being in the firing line on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. ZULU ESPRIT (5) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m1/4f at Devonport Synthetic, beaten just half a length. Well placed to play a part again.
