JOHN (4) started favourite last time over 5f at this track (Turf) but could only manage second when he was handy all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. The one to beat. BAR ROOM BUDDY (6) missed the placings two runs back on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at this track, beaten 4 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. LUCKY TAPITURE (11) was in the firing line on the bend and finished third last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 3 lengths. Nicely placed to play a major role. BATTLE PASS POSSE (3) is facing the starter for the first time. By Caleb's Posse and is out of the Francisco Bravo stable. A good gate is sure to assist.
