MACHO GRANDE (1) is a 12-start maiden who returned last time and finished seventh at this track (Turf) over 1m1/2f, beaten 11 lengths. Fitter for that outing and is a great chance to break his maiden status. UKRAINE STRONG (2) is a 11-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs, most recently when 6 lengths away in second over 5½f at Canterbury Park. Hard to beat. FOLDING MONEY (6) is a two-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 22 lengths when sixth over 7f at this track (Dirt). Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat. RED OCTOBER (7) missed the frame last time when fifth at Louisiana Downs. Prior to that had been in the money on two consecutive occasions. Will drift back but wind up late. Solid claims on best form.
