BOUGIE JOE (6) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1m at this track (Dirt), finishing third and beaten 2.25 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and three minor placings. Has the talent to take care of this field. JEWELSTOWN (5) finished a 6 length fifth on dirt at this track in a. Switched to turf last time at this track over 7½f and again missed the frame, finishing a 5 length fourth. Hard to fault if at his best. Big chance to atone. DRAG MALIBU (3) turned things around last start and got the job done by 0.3 lengths after being prominent at the turn over 7½f at Louisiana Downs (Turf). Facing a tougher assignment but he is capable of another big run. SEND OFF (4) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when fifth over 6f at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Should be thereabouts.
