MOON CAT (3) finished second at Lone Star Park two runs back but was less effective last time over 7½f at this track (Turf), finishing 2 lengths back in sixth. Has the ability to put the recent run behind him. LARIDAE (7) scored a commanding victory at this track (Dirt) over 7f at his latest appearance on November 18. Has found the right race. RODEO CHAMP (8) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.75 lengths from the winner in second over 7½f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. OPTIMUS KAT (1) was beaten 5 lengths into seventh over 7½f at this track three weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can atone.
