THE AWESOME SON (7) has been out of the placings in two flat starts this prep. Finished sixth when resuming over 1m then was beaten 16 lengths at Moonee Valley over 1m2 1/4f most recently. Only needs to jump well to be right in the finish. Grade 3 winner LEADERBOARD (4) returns after a break having switched stables and is sure to be improved on just the one try over the jumps. Has ability and should be wound up for this. Sure to be thereabouts. GAMBU (2) has not been a factor of late. Last start he was out of the money in a hurdle (2m1/4f) at Ballarat. That came after he parted ways with the rider in a hurdle (2m) at Warrnambool. Certainly deserves another chance. HUNTLY CASTLE (3) tackles the jumps for the first time. Last raced when he finished eighth in a over 1m4 1/2f at Moonee Valley on March 23. Ideally placed to perform well.
